A quick paint study of one of the coolest and weirdest fish in the ocean: the giant oarfish.
They are rarely seen alive and some say that the largest one found was 17m long. They live quite deep in the ocean and apparently hang vertically in the water (not as i’ve drawn it ) and use their strange dorsal fins to move up and down without moving their bodies. They only surface when ill or close to death and sometimes wash ashore on beaches.
They are believed to eat zooplankton and small fish/squid and they have no swim bladder or scales. O.o
